Si hay un verbo que se puede omitir (para no repetirlo), agregamos to como preposición o marca sintáctica de infinitivo.
She wants to go, but I don't want to go → She wants to go, but I don't want to [go].
Will you go if I ask you to [go]?
Would you have done the housework if she had asked you to [do].
